Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification |
| Description |
This unique course is designed to provide a broad understanding of Lean and Six Sigma improvement methodologies, how they are integrated and applied within an organization. The course is targeted at a wide audience who need familiarity with the overall process and the basics of how Lean6 process improvement tools work.
On the first day participants will learn the principles of Lean Enterprise. During the simulation exercises, as a member of the production team for Buzz Electronics, you'll apply Lean concepts such as Standardized Work, Visual Signals, Batch-size Reduction, Pull Systems and more. Participants experience first hand how Lean improves quality, improves delivery performance, reduces Work-in Progress (WIP) and enables Buzz Electronics to show a profit.
During the second day, participants will learn how to solve quality problems using the highly successful Six Sigma approach. Participants will apply Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) tools using the Stat-A-Pult to illustrate the impact of reduced variation on quality and business profitability. The course is designed with a heavy practice orientation - about one- third of Day 2 will be spent working through individual and team practice exercises.
