Manufacturers Resource Center’s Six Sigma program focuses on the DMAIC model for process improvement and the relevant intermediate-level statistical and graphical tools within that model. The DMAIC model is a systematic method for analyzing and improving business performances. It consists of five phases implemented by
Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts:

Define project
Measure performance
Analyze root causes
Improve performance
Control repeat performance

Green Belt
Green Belts participate in implementing a Six Sigma project for your company with outside assistance from a Black Belt. Green Belts help your company:

Structure problem-solving methods to address business improvements
Utilize intermediate-level quality tools within that methodology, and
Generate bottom-line financial results

Black Belt
The Black Belts emphasize defect elimination. They advise and help implement cost-savings changes to increase your ability to compete in the increasingly global marketplace. Black Belts help your company:

Improve productivity, process flow, product reliability, capacity and output, and customer satisfaction
Reduce product cycle times, process cycle times, work-in-process, time to market, and total number of defects
