CoreValue

CoreValue (Continued)

MRC is now your source for the CoreValue® assessment tool, a powerful means of measuring and improving business value.

One of CoreValue’s key benefits is its ability to yield a basic, but accurate understanding of key business drivers after just a few hours of engagement with a facilitator and the key managers and executives within your business.  With these drivers identified, CoreValue goes on to provide a list of targeted action items in order to improve business value.

On a deeper level, CoreValue can also compare these value elements against a database of other businesses in your industry, producing a real-time score and feedback to guide ongoing improvement efforts.

“CoreValue offers three levels of analysis,” says MRC Senior Strategy Manager, Tony Maslowski.  “Level One, ‘Assess,’ gives you a basic understanding of the business and awareness of strengths and weaknesses.”

Through an in-depth look at 18 drivers, business owners can see areas of improvement to maximize profitability and business value.

“Level Two, ‘Engage,’ is comprised of a more rigorous ‘deep dive’ that builds on the Level One findings,” Maslowski adds.  “It yields a remarkably accurate business value, typically within 10%, as well as the key action items to improve that valuation.

For those who want to pursue further project work to address key action items—either through MRC, a third party, or their internal staff—there is Level Three.  This advanced engagement could take the form of an in-depth competitive analysis, a Lean manufacturing process improvement, or soft skills facilitation.  Whether the client decides to execute this phase internally or engage a third party, the CoreValue process ensures a clear path forward.

“It’s not uncommon for CoreValue clients to gain an eye-opening understanding of critical business factors,” Maslowski says.  “Niche manufacturers in particular sometimes lack a clear picture of their competitive landscape, market growth opportunities, and other external factors that have a real impact on business value.  A certain level of awareness is necessary to effectively modify strategy.”

Having completed more than 20 successful CoreValue assessments, MRC has developed a solid basis of the drivers that are most important to enabling measurable improvement.

If your business seeks to better understand its position in the marketplace, or develop a framework of key action items to drive an improvement initiative, CoreValue could be the solution.  Contact Diane Lewis and the MRC CoreValue team today to learn more.
