Project Management is a systematic methodology that utilizes a proven process to complete an event in the most efficient manner.  The five process groups of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and then closing the unique event define the process of Project Management.


The Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) is providing an introductory, ½ day workshop which focuses on the following topics:

  • An overview of Project Management concepts and terminology
  • Project Management basics, initiating and planning projects
  • Understanding project charter, scope and requirements
  • Techniques to better understand:
    • Work Breakdown Structure
    • Network Diagrams
    • Duration
    • Critical Path
  • Risk Management Concepts:
    • Planning for Risk
    • Identifying Risk
    • Qualitative Risk Analysis
    • Quantitative Risk Analysis
    • Planning for Risk Responses
    • Controlling Risk
  • An overview of software tools (Microsoft Project – Scheduling Software, MindJet – Mind Map Software)

Cost:  $300/person (includes continental breakfast, lunch, beverages & snacks, plus materials)

About the instructor:
Tony Maslowski, Senior Strategy Manager

Tony has more than 25 years of industrial experience ranging from medical devices, hybrid circuit fabrication, industrial adhesives and specialty chemicals.  Tony has a broad background in new product development which includes 8 years as a product development engineer, 14 years in project and product management and 6 years of strategic business planning experience.  Tony has previously worked for B. Braun, Synthes, PQ Corporation, National Starch & Chemical and holds 1 patent and patent pending from his industry work.

Tony earned a B.S. in Ceramic Science & Engineering from Penn State University and an MBA in Marketing from the Temple University Fox School of Business.  Additionally, Tony is a member of the Project Management Institute and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Note: All registration fees must be received in advance of the date of your event. MRC must be notified of cancellations two weeks prior to the event, otherwise we can only grant a credit to another MRC event. Persons who do not show or notify us in advance will forfeit any credit.
