Lean Enterprise Overview introduces the Lean philosophy. Gain an understanding of value adding and non-value adding activities, as well as common waste elimination tools. Participants take Lean concepts from our classroom and apply them to our hands-on manufacturing simulation. MRC’s Lean Coaches will lead discussions to reinforce workshop learning and highlight opportunities for real-world application.
This workshop includes a hands-on manufacturing simulation where participants are assigned roles, (e.g., material handler or assembler) and experience Lean transformation through three production rounds. Production data is collected and reviewed after each round to determine the impact of improvement activities. In addition, Lean tools are presented for the elimination of process waste.
