This course is a hands-on, interactive approach to understanding basic statistical concepts that support application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis methods. Participants will learn about data collection, analysis, and interpretation methods to support process understanding, control, and continuous improvement.
Participants will also be introduced to Minitab statistical software, a global standard for industrial applications. Through activities conducted in the classroom, students will collect, analyze, and interpret data in Minitab and Microsoft XL. Electronic files (pdf versions) will be provided to all students as reference materials.

In order to get the best value for this class, it is strongly encouraged for students to bring their laptops with Minitab Statistical software enabled. A 30-day trial version of the software can be obtained.
