Job Instruction (JI) includes effective methods to help employees quickly remember how to do a job. JI creates a standard training process that goes beyond simply “telling and showing” them.  Through TWI Job (JI) Instruction, MRC offers a dynamic program of hands-on learning and practice, imparting essential skills for supervisors, team leaders, and anyone who directs the work of others. Job Instruction training is designed to develop basic stability of your processes (Standard Work). This course teaches the method to instruct an operator how to perform a job correctly, safely and conscientiously.

Mike Withka
Mike joined MRC in 2001 as a Lean Manufacturing Consultant and currently oversees the MRC’s Lean Enterprise Program. Mike has over 25 years of manufacturing experience within various industries including roles as operations director, manager, supervisor, production engineer and internal consultant. Mike’s areas of focus include production system design, strategic lean transformations, team coaching, leadership, mentoring, training program design, and training workshop facilitator. Mike is certified as a Six Sigma Greenbelt (Institute of Industrial Engineers), a Professional Trainer (Langevin Training Services) and a Job Instruction Trainer (TWI Institute). Mike also has earned an A.S. degree in Engineering Science at Middlesex County Community College in Edison, New Jersey and both B.S. and M.S degrees in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey. Mike earned his M.B.A. at DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Gene Kaschak
Gene has been a Lean Coach with MRC since 2014, bringing with him a diverse background in product development, manufacturing engineering, maintenance leadership, information technology, and continuous improvement facilitation. With experience in the consumer electronics industry, Gene approaches all his projects with a strong customer-focused perspective. His history of leading organizational change management activities and developing training programs further illustrates his versatility. Gene earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a certificate in Leadership and Business Management from the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College.


Note:  All registration fees must be received in advance of the date of your event.  MRC must be notified of cancellations two weeks prior to the event, otherwise we can only grant a credit to another MRC event. Persons who do not show or notify us in advance will forfeit any credit. Remember, you can also send a substitute.  Thank you.
