Allentown transfers $400K for small business loans until coronavirus aid comes through

Allentown City Council approved a transfer of $400,000 to help small businesses applying for a loan until federal funding from the CARES Act comes through. City-licensed businesses facing emergency cash flow needs can apply for a loan of up to $5,000 through the state Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) program.
