Overview
MRC’s HR Forum provides the opportunity for HR leaders to collaborate in a peer forum for interactive discussion of challenges facing their organizations and sharing of best practices, ideas, and strategies that have been successful to overcome those challenges.
Participants in MRC’s HR Forum will hear guest speakers on specific topics of interest, including legislative updates that may impact their company, and review case studies to maximize their learning experience. Our facilitator ensures the right balance of interactive discussion during both the planned activities and open discussion segments of the forum agenda. Participants find the HR Forum a valuable investment that provides unique opportunities to cultivate a strong peer network to share thoughts, challenges and solutions that work.
This course is eligible for 1.5 SHRM PDC’s for each session
provided by Asure Software.

Mary Simmons | VP of HR Compliance | Asure Software
Mary Simmons, VP of HR Compliance for Asure Software, has over 30 years of HR expertise, specializing in attracting and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws. She leads a team of 35+ HR Consultants, helping organizations drive growth through engaged, productive workforces. Mary is certified by SHRM, HRCI, and DISC and teaches SHRM certification courses as an adjunct professor at NYIT. A sought-after speaker on HR strategy and compliance, she co-chairs the Long Island HR Group and founded the Women’s Innovative Networking group.
Mary holds a BS in Human Resources from the University of Delaware.

Wayne E. Pinkstone | Shareholder | Ogletree Deakins
An experienced OSHA and employment lawyer, litigator and advisor, Wayne partners with in-house counsel, safety professionals, HR executives, and company leadership to identify and solve a full range of workplace legal challenges, particularly those involving workplace safety and health issues.
Wayne is experienced in developing strategies to contain costs associated with employee relations, personnel, and employment issues. He advises clients on leave and disability matters at the federal and state level and on employment discrimination, diversity, sexual harassment, wage and hour compliance, and workforce reductions. He also conducts in-house training sessions on topics including leave and disability, hiring practices, employee discipline, terminations, investigations, harassment prevention, and supervisory skills and practices.
Wayne earned his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
