Lean Manufacturing, Standardized Work, and TWI Job Instruction in Action.
Build Bikes. Apply Lean. Make a Difference.

Join us for a hands-on Lean Manufacturing Workshop where you’ll not only enhance your understanding of Lean manufacturing and Training Within Industry (TWI) but also contribute to a greater cause. At the end of the class, all bikes assembled will be donated to local charities, helping children and families in need.

Key benefits

  • Hands-On Learning: Design and build a complete standardized assembly process while applying Lean principles in real-time, improving your efficiency and process understanding.
  • Master Standardized Work: Use MRC’s Standard Work techniques to break down tasks and create clear, effective, standardized job methods for consistent results.
  • Improve Process Flow: Learn to reduce bottlenecks and create a smooth, continuous flow during the assembly process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use Lean tools like 5S, Kanban, Poke Yoke to identify improvements in real-time, adjusting for better quality and higher efficiency.
  • Enhance Training: Apply TWI’s Job Instruction (JI) method to train others clearly and effectively, ensuring every team member can follow the process accurately.

BONUS: GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

All bikes assembled during the workshop will be donated to local charities, making your learning experience even more meaningful. Not only will you walk away with practical Lean and TWI skills, but you’ll also help brighten someone’s day by donating a brand-new bike.

INSTRUCTOR

Gene KaschakVP, Continuous Improvement & Leadership Development Strategy

Gene KaschakGene has seen first-hand how the best improvement ideas usually get started by the people doing the work every day.  His early projects in continuous improvement were focused on bringing these ideas to life by listening to small suggestions or comments and designing the proposed solutions for various manufacturing, operations, maintenance, product development, and information technology projects.  As a Lean Coach with MRC since 2014, Gene’s focus now is to develop the scientific thinking skills in the local manufacturing community to bring these improvement ideas to life through daily experiments.
