5S Workplace Organization | Fall 2026

Event Date:

September 22, 2026

Event Time:

8:30 AM

Event Location:

Manufacturers Resource Center, 7200A Windsor Drive, Allentown, PA, 18106, USA

A disorganized workplace quietly creates daily inefficiencies that compound into lost time, safety risks, and reduced productivity.

This one-day workshop provides a practical introduction to the Lean 5S methodology, a foundational system for building and sustaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Participants will learn how to apply the five steps of 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain, to real workplace conditions. The focus is not simply on housekeeping, but on creating a structured system that improves safety, quality, productivity, and visual control.

Through interactive exercises and real-world examples, attendees will learn how to identify waste in the workplace, design efficient layouts, and establish clear standards that make abnormalities immediately visible. Emphasis is placed on practical application so participants can begin improving their own work areas right away.

A key focus of the workshop is sustainability, ensuring that 5S becomes a disciplined system rather than a one-time cleanup effort. Participants will explore how leadership habits, visual management, and accountability routines support long term success.

The workshop also connects 5S to broader Lean systems, including standard work, daily management, and continuous improvement, helping participants understand how workplace organization supports overall operational excellence.

By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear and practical framework for implementing or strengthening 5S in their own environment. They will leave with tools, templates, and a structured approach to improving organization, reducing waste, and creating a safer, more efficient workplace.
