Introduction to Lean Manufacturing Toyota SimulationThis one day workshop introduces the core principles of Lean through an engaging, hands-on simulation based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, allowing participants to experience the impact of waste, flow, and continuous improvement in a realistic production environment.

Participants will take part in a multi-round simulation that mirrors a traditional manufacturing process and progressively transforms it using Lean principles. Through each round, teams will identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and immediately see the impact on performance metrics such as lead time, throughput, quality, and inventory.

The workshop introduces key Lean concepts including waste identification, flow, pull systems, standard work, and continuous improvement. Rather than focusing on theory alone, the session emphasizes learning by doing, helping participants understand not just what Lean is, but how it works in practice.

As the simulation evolves, participants will apply foundational tools such as 5S, visual management, and basic problem solving to improve the system. The experience highlights the importance of teamwork, communication, and structured thinking in driving operational improvement.

By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear understanding of Lean principles and how they apply to both manufacturing and business processes. They will leave with practical insights and a shared language that can be used to support continuous improvement efforts within their organization.
