Job Instruction

Job Instruction (JI) is a proven solution to support basic process stability, create a standard method, and develop consistent training methods and trainers for small, medium, and large companies. With JI, supervisors can instruct operators how to perform a job correctly, safely, and conscientiously.

Through the use of a Job Breakdown Sheet, participants can identify the “one best way” and determine important steps and key points of any process. The training is delivered in a small classroom setting, in five two-hour training sessions with ample hands-on participation, ensuring that participants are equipped with effective methods to quickly remember how to do a job.

By implementing JI, companies can develop a stable process to apply continuous improvement, which creates a solid foundation for any continuous improvement program. The benefits of JI include reduced training time, less scrap and rework, fewer accidents, and increased job satisfaction.

In addition to the benefits of JI, the TWI program provides supervisors with the skills to quickly and correctly train employees, establish and maintain standardized work, improve methods, solve problems efficiently and effectively, and create a safe work environment. Overall, JI and the TWI program provide a comprehensive solution for companies seeking to improve their training processes and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
