This hands-on training goes beyond simply telling or showing – JI provides a structured approach to help employees quickly learn and retain essential job steps.
Participants will practice developing Job Instruction Breakdown sheets and demonstrate Training Within Industry’s 4-step process on their own work-related processes during class:

Through hands-on practice and coaching, this workshop will help supervisors, team leads, trainers, and team members manage learner frustration, resistance, and the need for real-time correction. Meet Your Instructors
Shawn Furman | Director, Automation and Manufacturing Technology Strategy
Shawn Furman helps manufacturers navigate the complexity of modern operations, guiding them toward smarter, more efficient performance through automation, robotics, digital transformation, and IT integration. His work focuses on delivering measurable improvements in quality, productivity, and innovation.
With 20 years of leadership in Electrical and Automation Engineering, Shawn brings a strong blend of technical expertise and practical experience. He has led engineering and maintenance teams across well-known manufacturing organizations and understands what it takes to run high-performing facilities.
Before joining MRC, Shawn held leadership roles at Boston Beer, Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, and The Hershey Company. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College and is a certified TWI Job Instruction trainer.
Shawn partners with manufacturers to develop technology roadmaps and implement solutions that deliver lasting impact.
Janelle Rabenold, MSHRM, SHRM-SCP | MRC – Director, Leadership Development and Training Strategy

Janelle Rabenold is an accomplished leader with over 15 years of experience in Organizational Development, specializing in leadership and talent development. She helps individuals and teams achieve personal and business goals and is a trusted coach, facilitator, and strategic partner.
Her expertise includes situational leadership, team dynamics, emotional intelligence, effective communication, and strategic initiatives such as succession planning, change management, strategy development, and performance optimization.
Janelle holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management & Learning and Performance Management from Moravian University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Albright College. She is SHRM-SCP certified and trained in tools including DiSC, MBTI, TKI, FIRO-B, Watson Glaser, Belbin, OCI, Prosci, DDI, Phillips ROI, and Caliper. She brings a strong commitment to continuous improvement, helping organizations and individuals drive meaningful growth and lasting results.
